About the Project
HYRO's proposal is for a Green Hydrogen Electrolyser (GHE) production and storage facility approximately 1km north-west of the town of Flint in North Wales.
The proposed scheme is for up to three electrolysers which will use electricity from renewable sources like wind and solar to split water and create green hydrogen.
The facility would incorporate a water treatment plant and electrical equipment to supply the electrolyser and include storage tanks to pressurise and store the green hydrogen. The gas would then be fed into the industrial hydrogen boiler through a new hydrogen pipeline.
